At a pivotal moment in the history of writing, as the archives of humanity are migrating to digital, the filmmaker of Au-delà du papier embarks on a journey around the planet. Of Romanian and Armenian descent, she aims to better understand how to preserve her own heritage—and our collective memory. Combining intellect and poetry, her personal yet universal quest explores the continuum between paper and digital, reminding us that human knowledge is above all a matter of soul and spirit.
