电影《DIY Racer》的剧情简介：
Dominik is a busy doer, a jack of all trades. He persistently pursues his various projects and already was able to bring a considerable success back home to the picturesque "Appenzellerland" by setting the (unofficial) world record for the fastest VW Beetle on the Quarter Mile. In his garage, bursting with spare parts and (apparent) junk, there only exists - apart from the interrupting phone calls from his family - his Volkswagen Käfer in the greenish-rusty Rat Rod design, giving the untrained eye a run-down appearance at first glance.Dominik presents his self-taught expertise with undisguised pride - despite minor and major mishaps while working on the car. But as his comeback race approaches, the tension rises noticeably. Will "the thing” run? Can Dominik prove himself once again? Will he be able to make a successful comeback on the track? Or might he embarrass himself because he screwed up while hastily screwing together his underdog car?
