A child’s imagination knows no bounds, and if you get too carried away, you might get soaked through. It seems that our film’s hero is not your average representative of the species — he’s not the best swimmer, but Hedgehog might just surprise you.
In a clever use of rhythms, patterns and colours, Czech animation director Daniela Hýbnerová offers a short visual story about the meaning of courage and daring. A discovery that has screened at several festivals — Hamburg, Zlín and others — this film demonstrates the artist’s ability to work with the shortest of formats.
