剧情梗概：
面对日益严重的罪案，香港警方的组织日趋强大和现代化，警方人员的质素亦不断提高。十三集警匪单元剧「干探群英」便是描写警队中心的一组干探，在他们面对悍匪时，亦有自身的喜怒哀乐，从中揭示他们的查案经过及生活情况。新任帮办欧阳锦源（关礼杰）是一学院派出身的年轻人，他初入重案组，与性格火爆的探员炸弹（甄子丹）、滋油淡定的甘旺（李成昌）格格不入，时有冲突，但在辑拿悍匪丁木（欧瑞伟）的事件中，三人发展出惺惺相惜，英雄重英雄的同胞之爱。女警方静敏（何嘉丽）外刚内柔，对炸弹的粗豪性格初时颇不以为然，但对其颐指气使却逆来顺受，某次两人终于大打出手，自此以后，二人竟踏上爱情之路。而干探们在屡建大功之余，在感情方面亦有进展及变化，锦源与女友分手；甘旺在一次收保护费的案中与前女友玲（商天娥）重拾旧欢。众人又对警署餐厅老板女儿Flora（刘玉翠）极尽关怀爱护，令她从罪恶边缘重回父亲怀抱。最后，炸弹在一次捉拿大毒犯案中，揭发一段家庭恩怨，原来其契爷（王伟）不但是大毒枭，更是其杀父仇人！究竟炸弹能否逮捕其契爷？而众人在爱情路上是否如意？
