剧情梗概：
圣洛伦索之夜乃流星划破天空、许愿者愿望成真之夜。一个女人回想起很久以前，一群农民为了逃脱纳粹，奔走在托斯卡尼的乡间，而天空划过的不是繁星，而是闪烁的炮火。影片展现在观众面前的是一个6岁孩子亲眼所见的一系列情景和人物：1944年8月10日夜晚，一个村镇必须在服从纳粹法西斯分子的暴力和逃到美军战区之间做出选择。由于所持道德观点、文化程度以及阶级的不同，村民中发生了分歧。一部分人决定和戛尔瓦诺一起逃走，另一部分则随主教去村中唯一的教堂避难。第二天，德军突然来到村庄，大肆进行搜捕，没有逃脱的人被枪杀，教堂也被炸毁，而和戛尔瓦诺一起逃走的人们，最终被美军解救。


The night of San Lorenzo is the night when shooting stars streak the sky and the wishes of the wishers come true. A woman recalled a long time ago, when a group of peasants ran across the Tuscan countryside to escape the Nazis, and what flashed across the sky was not stars, but flashes of artillery fire. The film unfolds in front of the audience a series of situations and characters that a 6-year-old child saw with his own eyes: On the night of August 10, 1944, a village and town had to choose between submitting to the violence of the Nazi-fascists or fleeing to the US military theater. Due to differences in moral views, education levels, and classes, differences arose among the villagers. Some of them decided to flee with Galvano, while others took refuge with the bishop in the only church in the village. The next day, the German army suddenly came to the village and carried out a large-scale search. Those who did not escape were shot and the church was blown up. Those who escaped with Galvano were finally rescued by the US military.
