　　有前科的卡通画家杰克狄比斯（盖勃瑞布莱恩饰），在监狱中以画卡通逃避坐牢的痛苦，他在卡通连环漫画「冷酷世界」中创造了一位名叫「荷莉」的淫荡、妖娆坏女人主角，岂知荷莉用美色引诱杰克进入「冷酷世界」，藉此让自己变成真人，「冷酷世界」里另一个真人侦探（布莱德彼提饰），警告杰克「卡通与真人不可能有情爱」的戒律，但是当荷莉变成人形后（金贝辛格饰），脆弱的杰克抵挡不住荷莉的美色，俩人从拉斯维加斯展开一场环球追击，但是这常酣通与真人的激情威胁到两个世界（真人与卡通）的毁灭。本片是继「威探闯通关」之后又一将真人与卡通神乎其技高超融于一体的娱乐佳构。
