剧情梗概：
北宋初年，天帝将三十六天罡、七十二地煞封于无字碑下， 换来人间太平百余年。时至仁宗，洪太尉误悔无字碑，凶星再临，又一个乱世即将开始。八十万禁军教头林冲，乃天雄星转世。他仕途平坦，与夫人贞娘伉俪情深。入朝四年，正值右迁。林冲为求取京中环卫指挥使一职，散尽千金。他的同乡挚友陆谦则将被调往岷州做镇抚使。然而，这一切在社日的庙会被逆转。林冲痛打调戏青鸾的小高衙内，得罪权贵，结识莽和尚鲁智深。小高衙内心有不甘，策反陆谦，将贞娘骗往阁楼，欲图不轨。他还以官位利诱陆谦，使得白虎堂上，兄弟反目，林冲被刺判沧州。
