One day, the truckers Grafouillère deposit a drunk Goubi in the biggest market of Paris (the "Halles"). The poor man is completely lost, but the meat merchant Dessertine takes him under his wings when he hears that Goubi was likewise 'raised by the State'...




A Fool in Paris is a comedy about an imbecile (Guppy) who always dreams of visiting the capital, Paris, and wishes he could sleep on the Eiffel Tower. After two food delivery men in the same town got him drunk, they really took him to the capital Paris. Gubby not only met the wealthy businessman Mr. Desedigny, but also fell in love with Lafrere (a prostitute). Goubi, the simpleton of his village in the French Department Allier, has but one wish: to see Paris.
