◎简 介
这部电影讲述了一位曾经扮演过超级英雄的过气演员（迈克尔·基顿饰），希望通过出演一部舞台剧来挽救事业，但是跟他合作的傲慢男主角却威胁着要把所有东西都毁于一旦。艾玛将饰演这位过气演员的女儿，她本身也是问题缠身，刚刚从戒疗所里出来，之后做父亲的助手。
花絮
.电影的大部分场景都是在百老汇的圣詹姆斯剧院内拍摄。为了达到一镜到底的效果，演员们通常需要一次完成长达15页剧本的内容，并且按照严格的走位，不能有丝毫差池。
.开机前，伊纳里图给他的卡司成员们看了菲利浦·佩帝(著名杂技演员)在双子塔之间走钢丝的照片，他告诉他们“伙计们，这就是我们将要拍摄的电影。如果我们跌倒，我们将一败涂地”。
.三位主演都曾出演过著名的漫画改编角色：迈克尔·基顿曾经在蒂姆·伯顿执导的蝙蝠侠系列中饰演蝙蝠侠，爱德华·顿诺曾出演绿巨人，而艾玛·斯通在《神奇蜘蛛侠》中饰演格温·斯黛茜。
.电影开拍两周前，伊纳里图与迈克·尼科尔斯(《毕业生》导演)一起共进晚餐。当被告知伊纳里图打算用一镜到底的方式拍摄《鸟人》时，尼科尔斯告诫他这将会是一场灾难。但是伊纳里图并未有退缩。
.拍摄期间，诺顿与基顿记录下了演员们NG的次数。艾玛·斯通犯错最多，而扎克·加利费安纳基斯犯错最少。
.诺顿与加利费安纳基斯都声称自己是基顿的影迷。诺顿还列出了他小时候最喜欢的三部由基顿主演的电影，分别是《夜班》(1982)、《家庭主夫》(1983)与《甲壳虫汁》(1988)。
.迈克尔·基顿在2005年演出的影片《Game 6》与本片相似，也是以纽约戏剧界为背景，基顿的角色同样经历着中年危机。
.本片是迈克尔·基顿6年来首次在一部影片中担当主演。他上一部主演的电影《The Merry Gentleman》是在2008年，而且是由他本人执导的。
.影片配乐被剥夺入围奥斯卡提名资格，媒体猜测是奥斯卡音乐评审认为影片的纯鼓点节奏不能称之为“乐”，因为它没有旋律，这个决定引发了很大的争议。
