电影《Sommium》的剧情简介：

According to studies, human beings are asleep for approximately a third of their lives. When we are asleep, our brain is more able to access certain brain waves, such as theta, that can also be correlated with the subconscious mind. What we see in dreams has a strong link to our inner subconscious. One interpretation of what dreams represent is that they are reflections of our inner subconscious. For example, any moments of fear or anxiety we experience in a dream can be a reflection of how we perceive our own circumstances in our waking lives. In many ways, dreams can teach us aspects of ourselves that we may not notice in our waking lives, as it is so easy to get swept up in life without taking a moment to pause and reflect on our own situation.
                                    
Somnium is a film that dives into exploration of subconscious imagery, particularly concerning situations that leave us feeling trapped, isolated, and attacked. Most people can relate to the anxiety felt when trapped alive in a box, or when being chased by something we fear. These feelings,which often stem from traumatic situations in our past, cause us to emotionally calibrate our perceptions to fit within a certain narrative that causes fear and anxiety. Somnium attempts to communicate to the audience on a visceral and subconscious level that transcends traditional reasoning and rationality, and encourages them to reflect deeper as to what their own subconscious is trying to communicate to them.
