剧情梗概：
《银色旅途》主要是讲述两名临近毕业的青年对前途及爱情的抉择，及后两人先后投身电影圈成就，名与利的追求等等，故事性浓厚。主要演员包括有刘青云、刘美娟、陈庭威、龚慈恩、吴镇宇、邵美琪、刘兆铭、吴孟达等等。　　剧中人危秋生（陈庭威饰）及翟明（刘青云饰）乃是大专同学，但各为私人原因而未为毕业在即感到高兴，秋生不欲放弃前赴美国深造电影的机会，但又舍不得身边的恋人叶素珊（龚慈恩饰），在两者选择下终于暂弃私人感情，赴美国继续深造。而翟明则因父亲从渖阳来港，故放弃考毕业试，踏上“社会大学”（即投身社会的意思）阶级。　　因为秋生赴美，素珊愤而下嫁旧男友皮草店太子爷乐伟基（吴镇宇饰），但婚后仍记挂着秋生，使伟基决意冷落折磨之。　　任职广告公司助导之翟明，介绍了居于大屿山的问题少女安婷（刘美娟饰）拍广告，安婷自小缺乏家庭温暖及管教，任性不羁，后与翟明熟络，成为恋人。　　翟明改执导演筒，素珊投资，安婷任女主角，一片而红，素珊与翟明雄心壮志，决定合作开电影公司，实行大展拳脚。　　另一方面，秋生与美国结识的女友孙华（邵美琪饰）回港度假，适逢其父因往内地搜购古董而被捕，母刺激过度病倒，又因旧女友素珊已嫁人，在重重打击下决定留港不再回美国升学，孙华为陪伴秋生，亦决定留在香港。　　秋生留港发展，翟明招揽他加入共电影公司，秋生不知素珊乃幕后老板，遂答允加盟，后知底蕴，后悔不已。　　乐伟基垂涎安婷美色，与她过从甚密，而安婷亦向翟明坦言分手，并表示乐伟基可给予她物质上满足，但伟基不甘心放弃素珊，迟迟不肯离婚，使安婷矛盾重重。　　秋生发现素珊婚后并不愉快，一直受伟基精神上的折磨，加上两人在工作上朝夕相对，终旧情复炽，孙华唯有黯然引退，返回美国。另一方面，翟明为名利而倒戈相向，过档另一间电影公司，令秋生失望，换成多年的朋友变成陌路人。　　秋生走高格调路线，处女作获提名竞选多个奖项。究竟他在电影事业上能否成功？素珊、安婷、翟明的前途又如何？这些年青人所追求的理想又是否达到？《银色旅途》会有一个圆满答覆。
