2009年播出的人气日剧《深夜食堂》时隔两年后再度被搬上大屏幕，10月起将播出第二季。　　《深夜食堂2》中，第一季的演员、工作人员再次集结，继续以安倍夜郎的人气漫画为基础，讲述位于繁华街区角落、只在深夜开店的饭屋餐馆的故事，刻画了餐馆主人（小林薰饰）以及来店里吃饭的各类人的个性形象。《深夜食堂》第一季由人气日剧《东京塔》导演松冈锭司、电影《昔日的我》导演山下敦弘执导，剧中出现的各种美食由著名食品造型师饭岛奈美把关，几乎每一集都有人气嘉宾登场，虽然是在深夜档播出，仍然获得了良好的收视，另外还一举夺得专为奖励优秀电视节目作品而设立的GALAXY奖第47届电视部门大奖。无论是观众反响还是圈内评价，《深夜食堂》都收获了良好的成绩。　　饰演饭屋店长的小林薰（出演日剧《浪花金融道》系列）说：作品的魅力在于个性十足的人物设计和与现代美食不同的令人怀念的料理。（电视剧）预算不足所以我们拍摄时去的是交通很不方便的摄影棚。这是个什么条件都不具备的电视剧，如果没有松冈、山下导演的话，那么也不会有现在的成绩。这一次还有导演小林圣太郎（代表作电影《每日妈妈》）、剧本作家荒井晴彦（代表作电影《振荡器》）加入，电视剧又升级了，我对它充满了期待。
