剧情梗概：
寒冷的九六年聖誕節，對於工作狂的方家輝來說，假期並不重要，在一片和諧歡騰的日子，卻仍留在公司的殺戮戰場內努力工作，忽然；不祥的午夜鈴聲響起，一直患病在床的父親終於出事。父親病況嚴重，危在旦夕，老父唯一心願，原來是想再看小兒子(家謙)一眼。十二年前，父親因為毆打母親，結果母親提出離婚，從此，兩個兒子，家輝及家謙就分別跟隨了父母。在家輝眼中，弟弟家謙是一個天才兒童，從小就聰穎過人，故家輝一直很照顧弟弟。當父母提出分手時，家輝就把機會讓給弟弟，好讓家謙跟隨慈母。但當家輝重遇失散了十二年的弟弟家謙後，可謂萬般滋味，家謙竟患上了精神病。原來母親一直以來都有吸毒惡習，父親又只是「老粗」一名，只懂用打罵作為教導方法。直到家謙追隨母親後，才發現母親的惡習。母親為了吸毒，不惜要家謙去做些不願意的事，結果導致家謙精神病發。自此，本來極有音樂天份的家謙，變成一個普通人。父親去世後，家輝就收留了弟弟，希望重拾當年的那份感情，無論怎樣犧牲，家輝都決意要把家謙照顧成材！不過，這一切對於作為家輝妻子的洗佳君來說，則是一件痛苦的事，二人更因此而離婚收場。家輝在麗華眼中只是一個偶像，殊不知這種感情其實就是暗戀的一種。直至家輝因為收留了弟弟家謙後，家輝為照顧弟弟而逼於無奈地離開了工作十年的公司，最後變得一無所有，唯獨麗華竟然在緊要關頭，站起來支持。聖誕節對於患有精神病的阮盈來說，沒有甚麼特別，但卻遇上了亦患有精神病的家謙。家謙樂觀的態度，很快就令充滿神秘的阮盈不再神秘。有人愛叫這做巧合，也有人愛叫這做緣份，韋文遇上家謙，竟亦愛上家謙那份赤子之心，亦愛上他潛藏在內心的那份才華。但三角戀愛總為世亦為己所不容，在多番努力爭取，韋文甚至不惜幹出些連自己亦感討厭的事來。在韋文身處於混亂的三角的同時，哥哥韋權卻玩弄彩華於股掌之中。彩華受苦，亦直接影嚮到妹妹麗華。麗華那份超人意志，非常人的堅持能耐的這優點，終被家輝所察覺，二人循序漸進地，在互相感動與支持之下，終擦出了愛情火花。而韋文更因為哥哥與家謙的不和，而與家輝等人扯上關係，加上家謙等人正住在母親所開設的食店附近，令形勢更加尖銳，而最為要害的，是韋權為了自保，不斷製造假像，企圖破壞家謙的形像。也因此而令韋文與家謙的愛情路更加崎嶇。佳君離婚後不斷遇上挫折，單身女人無所依傍，故再次親近家輝，希望重修舊好。佳君更有意無意在麗華面前挑起她的自卑感，令麗華屈辱難受，麗華失落之下，終悄然引退。至於韋文，終亦發覺自己的哥哥韋權並非想像中完美。但哥哥始終受護自己，令韋文十分矛盾。彩華正籌備與韋權結婚，喜氣洋洋卻存有隱憂，因為全世界都知悉，韋權是衰人人辦！但彩華還有其他選擇嗎？所以麗華一直支持家姐，卻怎知韋權貪念極重，婚後欲吞去屋子的業權，麗華為了息事寧人，也就唯有獨自遷出，孤獨一人生活下去…韋權的惡行又豈止這些？他一直針對家謙與家輝兩兄弟，令兩兄弟可謂受盡波折。但幸好家輝的堅持，才能把問題一一解決。
