剧情梗概：
美籍华裔韦文德为音乐痴狂，一度在音乐创作上遇到瓶颈。一曲电影《刘三姐》插曲让他的导师霍金教授惊赞不已，并开导他回自己的故乡汲取创作灵感。热爱着刘三姐歌声的韦老爷子一直担心宝贝孙子的婚姻问题，得知韦文德要回中国，一心想让孙子早点结婚的韦老爷子暗中安排了好友莫叔帮着给孙子撮合一段姻缘，希望孙子能娶个像“刘三姐”一样淳朴而且能歌善唱的广西姑娘。而这些安排韦文德全蒙在鼓里。韦文德即将要来广西，受韦家重托的莫叔着实费了一番心思，他找到旅游公司为韦文德安排了金牌导游阿梅。同时，莫叔在广西各地安排了壮、苗、瑶、侗、京等少数民族最会唱山歌的广西妹子准备为韦文德献上优美的民歌。而安排这次游历还有另一个目的，那就是为韦文德在这些广西能歌手中相亲。可事情恰恰不凑巧，金牌导游阿梅临时有事，于是她把这个重任悄悄托付给自己的小姐妹刘甜甜，壮家妹子刘甜甜只好临时关闭了自己的饰品店，临危受命冒充阿梅，为韦文德当起了导游。一路上，刘甜甜带着韦文德深入瑶寨、苗寨、侗族、壮族、京族等村落，和各族人民一起欢歌起舞，表达着民族团结带给他们的幸福与欢畅，作为“小刘三姐艺术团”团长的刘甜甜也顺便开溜偷偷去为她的小姐妹传歌。韦文德被广西少数民族优美的歌声打动，为少数民族兄弟姐妹幸福的生活所动容，他一次次在少数民族相亲风俗上闹下笑话，让人忍俊不禁。了解了这次游历真相的刘甜甜误以为韦文德是个花花公子，两人产生了不少误会，刘甜甜打算不理韦文德。但韦文德的纯真与对音乐的热爱，让刘甜甜逐渐意识到韦文德其实对相亲毫不知情。于是，刘甜甜一次次帮韦文德摆脱了相亲的尴尬。美妙的音乐让韦文德和刘甜甜互生爱意。而就在此时，阿梅的出现让韦文德和刘甜甜再次陷入了误会。阿梅了解到韦文德是来相亲的，一心想当贵妇人的阿梅告诉刘甜甜自己的择偶目标是富家子弟韦文德，这让刘甜甜感到苦恼和无奈，她不想伤害好姐妹阿梅。于是，刘甜甜悄然回到了家乡，专心为小姐妹传歌。而韦文德却陷入了深深的单相思中。阿梅了解到韦文德并不喜欢自己，心底善良的她终于想通了。于是，阿梅放弃了继续追求韦文德。阿梅鼓励韦文德去寻找自己的爱人刘甜甜。韦文德来到刘甜甜的家乡，当他听到刘甜甜的歌声时，终于发现自己在心目中一直寻找的刘三姐，就是眼前这个人，他鼓起勇气向刘甜甜表白。有情人终成眷属，一曲爱的乐章就此奏响。
