该作品是由圆谷株式会社在2016年出品的全新奥特曼特摄片。同时，《欧布奥特曼（UltramanOrb）》也是作为迎接《奥特曼》50周年的新作。人气特摄剧奥特曼的电视系列最新力作《欧布奥特曼(UltramanOrb)》将于东京电视台2016年7月9日早上9点正式开播放送！主演是石黑英雄！人如其名真正地变身英雄！第43代的欧布是奥特曼史上初次靠着历代奥特曼力量而合体变身的奥特英雄。该系列主监督继续由在2015年负责《艾克斯奥特曼》的田口清隆担当。1966年的第一部初代奥特曼是由圆谷英二老先生兼修的，第一集奥特曼作战第一号播出时间是1966年7月17日，距今已有50年历史。很久以前，魔王兽在地球上出现，做尽一切的破坏。以奥特曼及迪迦的奥特英雄们将魔王兽封印，令地球恢复了和平。时光流逝。为了从魔王兽的复活中保护地球，从银河的远方来到地球的光之战士，欧布奥特曼。在地球上自称红凯，作为流浪青年无定向及持续地漂泊旅行。红凯为了打倒复活的魔王兽，将昔日奥特英雄们封印魔王兽并留下来的力量以欧布圆环OrbRing卡片化，以此来获得奥特融合卡UltraFusionCard。奥特融合卡寄宿着历代奥特英雄的力量。红凯把两张奥特融合卡经由欧布圆环双重读取，UltramanOrbFusionUp(融合升越)！在与魔王兽的战斗中胜利及获得新卡片，欧布奥特曼将会得到新力量！
