剧情梗概：
《大块头有大智慧/大只佬》是由著名导演杜琪峰韦家辉导演的于2003年香港地区上映的一部剧情,动作,冒险类型的动作片,由刘德华张柏芝张兆辉汤宝如秦煌黄华和元彬主演,该片主要讲述了香港女警李凤仪(张柏芝饰仪)因脱衣舞男大块头(刘德华饰大块头)当众裸露而拘捕之，大块头拒捕逃走，中途遇上重案组警员追捕杀人疑犯，大块头无意间阻挡重案组警员让疑　　犯逃脱而得罪重案警员被捕。重案组认定大块头跟疑犯有关，对大块头严刑拷问，仪深信大块头跟谋杀案无关，挺身为大块头出头。　　仪从档案资料中知道大块头原来是持旅游证件的国内人，多年前更是一个和尚，对大块头留下印象。大块头看到仪的心地善良，跟仪说看到重案组警员的冲动，估计追捕疑犯时会两败俱亡，并扬言有办法捉到疑犯以作交换被释放的条件。仪出身自警察世家，父亲和兄长同因捉贼而殉职，仪不想历史重演，逐答应跟大块头一起捉疑凶。原来大块头功夫了得，藉这方面的知识查到死者跟疑凶的关系，终追捕到疑凶归案，仪对大块头产生仰慕。　　仪欲了解大块头多一点，独自到国内探访大块头出身的寺院，知道大块头的身世----自小便是和尚且具慧根，佛偈和功夫一学便会。多年前大块头的青梅竹马朋友小翠被无辜杀害，曾亲身上山追捕凶手但不果，坐在树下看到食物链;的生命循环，似有所悟，但自此放弃做和尚的往事，仪对大块头添爱慕之情。　　仪拼搏追捕入屋行劫的飞天贼而堕楼，大块头及时出现救仪，仪认定大块头对己有情，约会大块头，大块头却失约。仪借找大块头帮忙调查一宗旧案为名，找大块头追问对自己忽冷忽热的原因，大块头坦言说出只是看到仪业;随身会枉死，但感到仪心地善良，所以才出手救仪，希望为仪化解惜徒劳无功，仪知悉后难以接受。李凤仪决定帮助大块头找到杀死小翠的凶手，但却被孙果杀死!愤怒的大块头想要杀死孙果!却精神错乱看到5年后的自己,看到所有的因果!看到5年后自己会杀死孙果!于是与自己的内心一翻争斗后幡然大悟,明白了所有的因果都是不可改变的,佛所做的就是让所有种下的因有一个果!于是脱下俗衣,穿上5年前丢下的袈裟!顿悟后知道了小翠和李的死都不能全怪孙果!一切都是因果循环,所以决定进山搭救孙果!5年之后,果然和当年顿悟时所看到的一样见到孙果,此时却没有了仇恨之心,用佛的包容和善心还了孙果一个属于孙果的结果!(可能编剧取孙果的名字寓意也在此,大块头的佛号了因也是如此)最后了因不拒绝别人的馈赠,还点了根烟拂手离去,可能意思就是了因修成正果!
