Bicultural writer and actor Rashif El Kaoui has been fighting prejudice his whole life. To free himself, Rashif goes on a journey to find redemption.
                                    
Flemish writer, actor and talented playwright Rashif El Kaoui calls himself a bastard, a half-blood, a mongrel. As the child of a Flemish mother and a mostly absent Moroccan father, Rashif has been fighting prejudice his whole life, even within his immediate family. Bearing his father’s surname and physical resemblance, Rashif feels the need to free himself from his struggles with his bicultural identity. In the road movie I am a Bastard, director Ahmet Polat follows Rashif on a journey to find redemption.
